home which allows for
convenience in our busy
week. John teaches all
levels from child beginner
to adult beginner in our
family. He has an easy
going and patient style
while also having an
excellent knowledge base
of the components of

You are never too young to begin piano lessons. I
turned 50 and decided that with the 3 kids in
college and off on their own it was time for me to
do the things I wanted to do. I had taken lessons
from 2 other teachers prior to Mr. Chubb and
wasn't inspired. John has the teaching skills and

interest in you the student. His style is calm and
patient allowing you to discover your interests in
music at your pace. In turn you are motivated to
practice and improve much faster than you think

six months. I am amazed at her
progression in such a short period of
time. John uses an assortment of
methods, including a variety of books,
flash cards, patterned exercises and a
piano computer program to test her
knowledge. Alyssa has a very
demanding, ever-changing schedule with
competitive gymnastics, and John has
been very flexible with adjusting lesson
times as needed. I feel as though he
really cares about her growth in music
and would recommend him to anyone
wanting a relaxing, learning environment.
